First plastic surgeon in San Antonio to offer innovative procedure
SAN ANTONIO (February 26, 2018) – In a bold effort to advance the practice of plastic surgery, Suresh Koneru, M.D. is the first board-certified plastic surgeon in San Antonio to provide an innovative procedure for patients desiring a progressive, skin tightening, in-office liposuction treatment. Dr. Koneru, a native of San Antonio, owns Advanced Concepts in Plastic Surgery, P.A. He earned his medical degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, now known as University of Texas Health San Antonio, before completing his internship and residency training at the Hospital of St. Raphael, a Yale University Hospital. Dr. Koneru studied with the nation’s leading cosmetic, hand and reconstructive surgeons during his specialized residency training at University Hospitals of Cleveland. He is a former president of the San Antonio International Society of Plastic Surgeons, former chief of staff at Southeast Baptist Hospital, former chairman of the Department of Plastic Surgery at Baptist Hospital System and is a member of the Bexar County Medical Society and Texas Medical Association.
