Thank You just isn’t enough for how much you have done for me through my cancer journey

As I think about the past 2 years and going through chemo, surgeries, radiation and more surgeries, I am so grateful that I have you in my corner to help put me back together. Every day as a cancer patient is a battle of the mind, soul and body. There were so many days I felt like I would not be able to feel a sense of normal ever again. I am so lucky to have you as my doctor to help me find a new normal that I can take and move forward into the future with. You have helped me restore positive thinking when I look at how my body has changed. Thank You just isn’t enough for how much you have done for me through my cancer journey.

May God keep each of you healthy and safe.

Dear Dr. Koneru, Jennifer, Maria & Brittany,

Want ya’ll to know how deeply I appreciate ya’ll’s taking care of me from first phone conversation with Jennifer — who so patiently guided me and helped calmed my anxiety. Dr Koneru, I’m so glad Dr. Smith recommended you – for you are exceptional – I feel like a big weight has been lifted – literally and figuratively! Many thanks for relieving my pain and I am so happy with the results.

May God keep each of you healthy and safe.

Great experience

Advanced Concepts is the best office in San Antonio; Dr. Koneru, Linda, and Hilda are a great team. They all genuinely care about you and your goals, all the while maintaining a comfortable environment and judgement-free zone.
Dr. Koneru is a brilliant and experienced surgeon who listens to your concerns and guides you in the right direction. I went in for a septoplasty & rhinoplasty and told him how I thought I also had a weak jawline. He understood what I was trying to express but told me it was my chin, not my jaw that was affecting my profile. I have since recovered and I love my results! He is very patient with questions and thoroughly explains everything.
No doubt I absolutely recommend Advanced Concepts!!

He has taken great care of me and been very helpful and understanding during all of this. I trust his opinion and appreciate him for always being so professional and understanding. He is the best plastic surgeon in SA!

I’m a 34 year old female. I came in to have abdominal liposuction. I searched around to include two other Dr’s that close relatives have used and recommended. However after my virtual consultation I asked Dr. K when his soonest availability was. His thorough knowledge and his delivery on what he does is was what had me choose him. He didn’t have that car sales men approach- he’s demeanor and character are extremely professional and calmly confident. I was able to schedule an appointment for the following week and I couldn’t have been happier. The surgery went well. I had very minor entry wounds that healed extremely well and was back to work with in about 5 days. But I must say it was his staff that really had me wanting to write a review. Mrs. Linda from the beginning was the most nice and warming and FUNNY receptionist I’ve encountered. Mrs. Hilda took care of me with my Z massages and she’s the best! I went in worried due to some unevenness and she reassured me that it was normal and she would make sure I looked amazing :). And she kept her word. Dr. K along with his entire staff are just simply amazing. If you are looking for a great Dr who knows what he’s doing and a staff that will take care of you through the entire process, this is THE PLACE. I had my surgery in July 2020.

Thank you Dr. Koneru

Dr. Koneru was not my first choice in starting out. But I am so happy he became my choice. In my opinion, he is the most caring and most qualified in his field that I could have chosen.
Thank you Dr. Koneru and staff for caring for me.

Very happy with my whole experience. The staff is very friendly and the doctor was very professional and caring. They went above and beyond for me when I developed lymphedema after my mastectomy and found me a great therapist to help me deal with the issue. I love my new breast! They look great.

I came to Dr Konero after 2 failed reconstruction reconstruction surgeries. I was in pain because the implant on right fell low and was causing nerve pain. Dr Konero is amazing, surgeon, polite, and I am very happy with my results. I did not have any pain at all after surgery. The past 2 surgeries were very hard to recover from. I have amazing results!

Dr. Koneru and his staff are amazing! His staff is so kind and professional. They always make me feel welcomed. My surgery was a success. My recovery has been phenomenal. The results are incredible. I am beyond happy. I wanted natural looking results and that is exactly what I got. I don’t often use this word but everything came put PERFECT! I did meet with 2 other surgeons before I chose Dr. Koneru. He is the best hands down.

After problems arose w/first plastic surgeon for reconstruction of breast after double mastectomy due to cancer, contacted Dr Koneru’s office for a consult. First impression was how concerned Linda was with what I was going through. Second impression was how kind Hilda was & getting me situated & comfortable in room. Third was the positiveness with which Dr Koneru treated me. I will forever be greatful to them all for the manner in which they have treated me & others I have observed.

I recommend him to all of my friends

Dr. Kaneru was highly recommended to me from my husband, and I am more than pleased with my results. My husband works in the medical field and said Dr. Kaneru is the best plastic surgeon in San Antonio.
I’ve had four children and breast fed all of them, so my breasts were uneven. He adjusted implant sizes as well as a fat transfer to get them as even as possible. They are even and natural in appearance now.
As well as an excellent surgeon, he is also very personable. I would do it all over again and I recommend him to all of my friends wanting breast augmentation.

You must sleep well knowing that you REALLY make a difference

5.0 stars - Written on December 13, 2015

dear dr. koneru, linda and hilda,

i cannot even begin to think of how to start a letter that has so much respect. love and thanks attached! you know, as well as i do that when you start out in life as an adult you think you are invincible to problems and that hard work and a successful career is all you need to make it.

of course, i like others thought that, but i just thought there has to be a part of life where you like people and you want to help people. i always thought i was good at that until the bottom dropped out of my life a few years back. i loose my job one month before lifetime benefits, then fourteen days after back surgery for stenosis (which i didn’t know i even had), they find breast cancer. if it weren’t for the fact that it was so serious, it would have actually been unbelievable . so now, i am eleven days till my cobra runs out and had no idea where to start. you made the right calls, dr. k and because of that, i  got the majority of my problems operated on and things were back on track it seemed for a few years, but hardly a day went by that i didn’t wonder why you would take the time to make sure i got all the medical care i needed in those elven days, or why you cared, when you were building your business or why you always told me it would be just fine when i wasn’t sure of anything. you made me and my husband laugh, and my family so things seemed pretty good and a few years later like they say… the pain ceases and a person sort of forgets about the bad times. i never seemed to forget though that without your calls and expertise, i would have been bankrupt or worse maybe even homeless. i will never forget the day when i said to dr. glass, “well we will do all that and then well, you know the usual 401 etc,” he said, “hon, you are looking at over 350k for one round probably”. so when i think of those times when i was exhausted from all the treatment in ten days it seems so easy knowing that i didn’t loose my home or have to move in the middle of feeling like i couldn’t get up.

one day i was sitting in dr. wilks the oncologist office and she had a patient who just began talking with me and let me know that she lost her home in canyon lake so she could have radiation and subsequently had lost everything an was living with friends until she could get back on her feet. i felt so bad, things hadn’t gone that bad for me, i had my home, i could work if i could drag myself down to the computer and phone and my friends and family supported me with car driving and taking care of my appointments and my calendar of healthcare appointments.

fast foward… my how time flies, and then it all seemed to be well on the earth, i was able to work some, the spring came, i worked in my flower garden and for awhile like others, i am sure, i put the cancer deal behind me. but it never leaves me too long that i don’t remember if it weren’t for you caring and your staff making calls, i too might have been living with someone or homeless. on a humorous note, maybe that is why you helped me, you might have thought i would be moving in with you and your family. whatever the reason as i have said before and am saying now, thank you cause you didn’t have to do what you did.

four years later. i get a letter saying how lucky i was that i had survived cancer for four years, and then fourteen days later, a letter saying maybe not. here reasrs the old c word again. once again, okay where do i go, i go to dr. k and his staff. once again you helped me make the best decision of my lifetime. i would recommend this to anyone for the peace of mind. at least i don’t have to worry about that, we all can’t predict what will end our life, but hopefully for me, not breast cancer. here i am two and a half years later, with a new outlook on life, my clothes fit me again, and i feel youthful and happy and serene.

just as i am about to enjoy the place i am, diane and jeff and i decide to have a “family congratulatory dinner” we were all well and happy doing fine, i was quite well along in my breast reconstruction, diane had had knee and shoulder partial replacement and jeff had his crop in and his folks were well. so… dinner it was… until the next thing we knew when i brought in the roast, diane was bleeding everywhere.. my neighbor came, helped us get di’s leg to stop bleeding so much, we loaded her up and to the baptist emergency ward we on kyle seale we went. sept 2nd, that night we got home at midnight had our dinner anyway, then thought the world was good again, until three and a half weeks later all hell or shall i say her leg broke loose. she had been to the pa the dr on call, and even tried to get back to the traveling dr. who originally saw her at the emergency hospital. everyone said “its fine no problem, just a hard place to heal”. never will i forget the look on your face when i showed you the picture of her leg during the bra meeting.

you said come along we will get this handled, and away you went to make calls, text, etc. then the next day when she returned with very little help and no advice, you stepped in and once again saved the day or shall i say the leg and the day for this family. i don’t know it’s kind of funny i was much more worried about diane than myself as i just had this weird feeling she wasn’t okay. once my parents were gone and most of my family… and hers, we just sort of became the only family each of us had until i married some eight plus years ago. then jeff embraced this little family and we have all lived taking care of one another until this completely over our heads. where would we have been if you hadn’t stepped in, and told me to contact chris if i could… where would diane be??? so the reason i chronicled this was to just let you know how very much you have done for the whole family! you didn’t have to you just did. you didn’t care about anything but making sure she got better.

i can never tell you in words or the rest of my life how much i respect and thank you for the peace of mind i share and the fact that i have some great days to look forward to ahead. i can’t tell you how it feels to pout your trust in someone’s hands and they really care.

diane is the soft spoken part of our family. i think it was just a god thing that she even showed jeff and i her leg that week. she had asked a number of her medical people the shoulder dr. the pa at the knee ortho clinic, the emergency room dr. and so on and i think deep down she knew something was very wrong, but didn’t want to bother us. when we saw it for the first time, i thought i was going to be ill. so i am afraid if she hadn’t asked me to show you the picture that day at the bra meeting who knows what terrible things might have ensued.

i am not a very emotional person but i am thankful for all you have done not only for me but for diane and all the people before and after us that you cared for. you must sleep well knowing that you really make a difference. i am so glad that you shared your humor with us as well. you are approachable and you make people feel good about getting better and getting on with life. i often laugh about the way you joked with me at the hospital. it puts a much better spin on things when you can laugh about them.

i know diane   wrote you but i wanted to  write you (my handwriting sucks so that’s why i typed this) otherwise you would have thought it was a grade  or kinder student. tonight we all go to sleep in our own beds in our own home that you helped us save indirectly, tonight we will rest knowing that tomorrow is a much better day for our health and the sky is the limit on what we can do for the rest of the world in respect to what you have so graciously done for us. thanks for sharing you kindness, concern, your abilities, your talents, and your humor and again, for not only what you have done for me, but for what you have done for diane and ultimately that is helpful to jeff too. he was very worried!!!

i hope your family has the brightest happiest christmas and holiday season and prosperous  new years of ever this and every year to come. i hope all your kids get straight a’s and are happy and healthy and make you smile. i hope your staff knows how much they are loved and respected. i hope your days when you are really having a crummy one, might get better by reflecting on how you helped our crazy family so much.

again, our heartfelt thanks to you and all your family.

Thank you

Dear Dr. Koneru,

Words cannot properly express my gratitude and thankfulness for your intervention of securing the help needed to care for my wound.

Pam was the impetus behind it all, and without her I’d not have been blessed to meet you. and her relationship with [redacted] got me to Spiracur. Connect the dots – my leg is healing nicely because God uses special people in wondrous ways.

Thanks to you and your immediate  attention to the wound my leg will not only heal fully but will remain a part of me! I believe I came dangerously close to losing it. I can’t thank you enough, but I have asked God to bless you nicely.

Dr. Koneru –

2012 had a shaky end with my cancer diagnosis but starting January 4, 2013 life is better and better thanks to you and your staff.

I feel great. I feel lucky. Out of seven women that I know, I had the fewest problems. Some for the horror stories, oh my! I was so lucky to have you as my doctor.

I miss your humor and I wish you great Thanksgiving Holidays. Thanks for my great experience and for my new body part that looks so good/great. See you in January 2014. Hugs.

Linda –

You made my 2013 experience much easier and fun. I am so glad you are part of Dr. K’s team. Let’s do lunch @ Zoe’s down the street from you. Hugs.

P.S. I have not not forgotten about quilting but I am such a novice. See you soon I hope.

I am a former resident of the San Antonio area and recently had a posterior thigh lift done and I am 110% pleased with the results! I have been working with Dr. Koneru and his staff for over 3 years on various types of other procedures he offers as well. I had a dermabrasion procedure done to my face which resulted in 80% improvement of my facial scarring. Two other procedures I had done in the office were VPL and Ulthera. Both these procedures worked wonders in improving my facial features! Dr. Koneru is extremely knowledgeable and will give you guidance to offering the best possible solution for your needs. His staff is very friendly, helpful and professional. If I need any other procedures done I would fly back just to be under the care of Dr. Koneru. I don’t think the research I did could have landed me a better surgeon. I am grateful to have been under Dr. Koneru’s care for my procedures.

Thank you for changing my life.
